Collectors collect, but if you don't know medical collections, appeals process, EOB's, Claims and CPT pricing, and insurance procedures, then you're in the wrong business. Don't waste your time dealing with a collection agency that doesn't know the difference between UB-04 Claim Forms or CMS 1500...you need us, especially if you have medical claims/accounts receivables that haven't been paid in the past 60 days. Remember, you primarily only have 180 days to file your initial appeal and the insurance companies are counting on you never submitting your appeal or that you submit them too late. That's how they win!!!
